Street Kidz
Have you ever been cold and hungry - meaning really cold and truly starving? Kids who live on the streets feel that way every day. Some are there by choice. Others have no choice. We were young and stubborn once too. We had that "who gives a damn?" attitude. It is up to us - those of us who were once down that road ourselves, to help the lost ones back on their feet!
If we judge them harshly, the chances are these kids will lose hope and without hope, what is there to look forward to? There is more anger, more drugs, more crime, more violence and more kids on the street.
The Street Kidz section of our magazine offers a way out. It will be a forum for what they have to say in their own humble words. Street Kids will be able to write to us and tell their story. We plan on giving them a voice to be heard and listened to. We will have information on all organizations who assist and help Street Kids. With the help of the Lookout kids who feel unwanted, unloved and uncared for will have an alternative to release the burdens that they carry and for their peers, to have a better understanding and a way to communicate!
